Watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
I don’t think it gets much simpler than that. In fact, I wrote a post about Robert Fulghum’s poem many months ago.
I think it bears repeating: We learned everything we need to know in Kindergarten. As grown ups, we often let life get in the way of basic courtesies and common goodness. We forget what we know in our hearts.
Look both ways.
Consider both sides.
Think before you act.
Say you’re sorry.
Don’t hit.
Don’t judge.
Hold hands and stick together.
Be kind to those less fortunate.
Ignore that.
Just be kind.
How will you keep it simple today?
Seriously, Hilary. You’re the new zen doctor. I feel like I’m getting therapy for free 🙂

I absolutely agree. We finally make it to Grown Up stage, and we decide that everything we learned before was just for kids. We’re smarter than that now.
Also, I just spotted your NaNoWriMo tag and went “OOOOH!”

Children are smarter than grown ups. I’m convinced of it every time I watch my niece interact with people. Thanks for reading!

Simple is better. If we all kept it simple, life wouldn’t be nearly as convoluted.
I will remember to tell those close to me that I love them.
